Judging%20the%20Swachh%20Bharat%20Competition

The Gems and Jwellery Skills Council for India ( GJSCi) organized Swachh Bharat Competition in IIGJ Mumbai on 10th November, 2017. The students presented their innovative ideas to keep India Clean under the Swachh Bharat mission. Three winners were selected and each got a cash prize and a certificate. All other participants got a certificate of participation.  The three winning ideas were sent to the Prime Minister’s Office in New Delhi. 

Dr. Farida Virani was one of the judges at the competition. She addressed the audience and put forth her thoughts on the need for innovative strategies for waste management in the gems and jewellry sector. She also spoke of the huge scope of entrepreneurship in e-waste management in India.
