Over the centuries, Ismaili communities in various parts of the world have been conducting their own ‘Alternate Dispute Resolution’ (ADR) processes based on the ethics of the faith as guided by the Agakhan. All the appointed CAB members are expected to undergo a five day training, to make this process effective and efficient while serving the needs of the Jamat (community). His Highness Prince Agakhan Shia Imami Ismaili National Conciliation and Arbitration Board for India recently held training programmes at Ahmedabad between 19th and 23rd April 2016 and Lonavla from 30th April to 4th May 2016, for their Conciliation and Arbitration (CAB) Personnel. A group of international trainers from within the community were trained at Center of Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) a leading mediation training provider, in London UK. From amongst these trainers, Dr. Farida Virani along with Mr. Shaukat Merchant from India, Mr. Ashraf Ramji from USA , Mr. Akber Ebrahim from Canada and Mr. Sohail Khoja from Pakistan conducted these pro - bono trainings in India.
