Gender refers to the socially constructed roles and responsibilities of women and men in a given culture or location. These roles are influenced by perceptions and expectations arising from cultural, political, environmental, economic, social and religious factors as well as customs, law, class, ethnicity and individual and institutional bias. This article illustrates many recent researches and examples citing the differences and strengths women leaders and employees get into an organization. It also gives reasons to; why it makes a better business sense to ensure gender sensitivity and equal opportunities which are so necessary for organizations aspiring sustainable growth. The article enlists ways in which our business schools could create gender sensitive managers for the corporate world.
